Basketball Recap: Millry Comes Up Short

Millry lost against McIntosh back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Millry Wildcats took a 51-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of the McIntosh Demons. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

It was another big night for Grant Horn, who went 8 of 19 en route to 24 points for McIntosh. The dominant performance gave Horn a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jakari Braggs, who went 5 of 10 on his way to 10 points and eight rebounds.

Millry now has a losing record at 3-4. As for McIntosh, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-5.

Millry will be playing in front of their home fans against Southern Choctaw at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Southern Choctaw is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 59.2 points per game this season. As for McIntosh, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 62-38 defeat against Jackson on the 4th.
