Volleyball Recap: Father Mcgivney Catholic Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Father McGivney Catholic lost to Alton back in April, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Monday. The Griffins won by a set and slipped past the Redbirds 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Griffins have posted against the Redbirds since May 9, 2022.

Father McGivney Catholic had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 19-25, 25-15, 28-26.

Jack Bukovac paced Father McGivney Catholic's offense, picking up nine kills. Bukovac got some help from Dax Lieberman and his 19 assists. Finally, Bukovac was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high six blocks.
