Oswego's game on Monday was close up to the half, but then they kicked things up a notch. Their defense stepped up to hand the Plainfield East Bengals a 3-0 shutout. Considering Oswego have won nine matchups by more than two goals this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory was the fifth in a row for Oswego, bringing their record up to 13-1-1. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those five contests. As for Plainfield East, their loss dropped their record down to 6-4-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Oswego will take on Naperville North in a tournament on Thursday.
