Basketball Recap: Stockbridge's Loss Ends 12-Game Winning Streak on the Road

If Stockbridge was feeling good fresh off their 64-23 takedown of Locust Grove last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Stockbridge Tigers fell just short of the Woodland Wolfpack by a score of 54-52 on Thursday. The Tigers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Wolfpack earlier this season, when they won 69-61.

Stockbridge's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jayla Fulks, who posted 14 points. Another player making a difference was Kahli Ingram, who earned nine points and six rebounds.

Woodland's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Lauren Blount, who had seven points and 11 boards. What's more, Blount also racked up two blocks, the most she's had since back in November of 2024. Jada Little was another key player, putting up 13 points.

Stockbridge's defeat ended a 12-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 17-4. As for Woodland, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season.

Stockbridge didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 58-44 win against McDonough on the 31st. Woodland has also already played their next game, a 50-22 victory against Locust Grove on the 31st.
