Football Recap: Friday's Loss Ends Immokalee's Winning Streak

Immokalee and Riverdale squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Immokalee had to settle for second. They fell 21-14 to the Raiders. The Indians' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Although Immokalee took the loss, they still got scores from Kervensley Laurent and Marshon Jackson.

Even if they lost, Immokalee's defense still kept up the pressure with three sacks. Leading the way was Ashley Meus with two. He also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with 16. Immokalee received some extra help from Laurent, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.

Immokalee's defeat dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Riverdale, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-1.

Immokalee does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Riverdale, they will square off against Manatee at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
