Basketball Recap: Penn Wood Comes Up Short

Penn Wood suffered their biggest loss since December 27, 2024 on Friday. They lost 52-32 to the Holy Ghost Prep Firebirds. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Patriots of the 57-48 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2024.

Penn Wood's loss dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Holy Ghost Prep, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-6.

Penn Wood will square off against Chester at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Chester will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Penn Wood surely won't give up without a fight. Holy Ghost Prep has already played their next matchup, a 91-85 victory against Council Rock South on the 1st.
