Recap: South Pike Eagles vs. Lawrence County Cougars
The South Pike Eagles won the last time they faced the Lawrence County Cougars, and things went their way on Friday too. South Pike sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 41-38 victory over Lawrence County. The win made it back-to-back wins for South Pike.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead South Pike to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kenyia Walker, who scored 12 points. Another player making a difference was Alaysha Williams, who scored 7 points.
South Pike's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Lawrence County, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5.
South Pike will be playing in front of their home fans against Hattiesburg at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lawrence County, they will head out on the road to face off against Brookhaven at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
