On Friday, Holcomb faced Goodland in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Holcomb Longhorns secured a 64-58 W over the Goodland Cowboys. The win was nothing new for the Longhorns as they're now sitting on five straight.

Holcomb pushed their record up to 16-4-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.5 points over those games. As for Goodland, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 17-3.
