Baseball Game Preview: Knight Hawks vs. Palmdale Falcons

For the second straight game, Knight will face off against Palmdale. It'll be a Battle of the Birds when Knight Hawks take on Palmdale Falcons at 3:15 p.m. on Friday.

Knight took a loss when they played away from home two weeks ago, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. They came out on top against Palmdale by a score of 7-4. The Hawks haven't had any issues with the Falcons recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Javier Santana spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered four earned runs on ten hits.

On the hitting side, Santiago Mendoza was a standout: he scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-3. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. Jose Garcia also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Palmdale dropped their record down to 2-12 with the loss, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Knight, their victory bumped their record up to 4-7.
