Starkville Academy waltzed into their match on Friday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They came out on top against the Washington Generals by a score of 34-21. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Volunteers also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.

Starkville Academy pushed their record up to 11-3 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.2 points per game. As for Washington, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Starkville Academy will welcome Choctaw County at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Washington, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Delta Streets Academy at 10:15 a.m. on January 7, 2025.
