After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Crismon, ALA - Gilbert North was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They blew past the Combs Coyotes 15-3. The Eagles' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

ALA - Gilbert North let Makenzi Ravelo and Coco Gomez run wild. Ravelo went a perfect 3-for-3 with five RBI, two runs, and one triple, while Gomez went a perfect 4-for-4 with five RBI, three runs, and one triple. Those five RBI gave Ravelo a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Emery Smith, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: ALA - Gilbert North kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Combs only managed five hits.

ALA - Gilbert North's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-14. As for Combs, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 11 of their last 12 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-18 record this season.

ALA - Gilbert North will host Alhambra at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Combs will be paying especially close attention to the Eagles' contest: after the Eagles face off against the Lions, they'll take on Combs again at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
