Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Agape Christian). They put the hurt on the Egyptian Pharaohs with a sharp 17-3 win on Friday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Knights as it put an end to their six-game losing streak.
Isabella Knox made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed four innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off one hit. Knox was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs and one RBI. What's more, she posted two hits, the most she's had since back in March.
In other batting news, Alaina Reynolds was excellent, going 1-for-2 with two RBI and one run. Another player making a difference was Emersyn Clark, who got on base in three of her five plate appearances with three runs and two RBI.
Agape Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .537. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
The win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 3-9. As for Egyptian, they are on a 14-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-13.
Agape Christian has already played their next matchup (against Shawnee), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Egyptian, they will challenge Elverado at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
