Softball Recap: Novato Takes a Loss

Novato was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Terra Linda Trojans, falling 17-7. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Hornets of the 11-6 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Georgiana Castro was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. T'Niya Williams also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Novato's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Terra Linda, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 8-0.

Novato has already played their next contest, an 18-1 loss against Marin Catholic on the 26th. As for Terra Linda, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 15-2 defeat against Archie Williams on the 26th.
