            Volleyball Recap: Mt. Shasta Bears vs. Fall River Bulldogs        
        
		
        
        
            
Mt. Shasta entered their tilt with Fall River on Thursday with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. They put the hurt on the Bulldogs with a sharp  3-0 win. The Bears not only won  on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win  since August 28th (when they won  3-0).
 While Mt. Shasta won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the  first set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-15,  25-16.

 Mt. Shasta got their  victory on the backs of several key players, but it was  Kaley Lanier out in front who  had 25  digs and one  assist. Lanier is  on a roll when it comes to  digs, as she's  now  had 11 or more in each of the last 25 games she's  played dating back to last season.  Amirra Funk was another key player,  getting 13  digs and five  kills.
Mt. Shasta's win bumped their record up to 15-5-2. As for Fall River,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 2-16.
 We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Mt. Shasta is set to  challenge  their familiar foe Modoc  at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Fall River will  square off against  rival Trinity  at 6:30  p.m.  on Tuesday.
