Football Game Preview: Camp Point Central Panthers vs. Routt Catholic/Lutheran

Camp Point Central has gone a perfect 6-0 against Routt Catholic/Lutheran recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Panthers will be playing in front of their home fans against Routt Catholic/Lutheran at 7:00 p.m. Camp Point Central will come into the game with an undefeated record on the line.

Camp Point Central is headed into the matchup after thoroughly thrashing Brown County: they outscored them in every quarter. The Panthers put the hurt on the Hornets with a sharp 27-6 win on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won five contests by 21 points or more so far this season.

Jasper Flesner was his usual excellent self, rushing for 110 yards and three touchdowns. Those 110 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.

Meanwhile, Routt Catholic/Lutheran scored the most points they've had this season on Saturday, but it wasn't enough. They took a 36-26 hit to the loss column at the hands of Unity/Seymour.

Camp Point Central will have to contain Gavan Sheehan as he made an impact in Routt Catholic/Lutheran's last game. He rushed for 102 yards and one TD on only 12 carries. Sheehan's longest rush was for an incredible 77 yards.

Routt Catholic/Lutheran's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Camp Point Central, their victory bumped their record up to 6-0.

Camp Point Central barely slipped by Routt Catholic/Lutheran when the teams last played back in October of 2024, winning 22-21. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Routt Catholic/Lutheran's Kellen Creviston, who threw for 359 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also punched in one score on the ground.
