Basketball Game Preview: Sparkman Senators vs. James Clemens Jets

The Sparkman Senators just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the James Clemens Jets at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Sparkman is coming into the matchup on a six-game losing streak.

On Monday, Sparkman was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 45-40 to Hazel Green. While losing is never fun, the Senators can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 117th, while the Trojans are ranked 32nd).

Meanwhile, James Clemens beat Hewitt-Trussville 50-41 on Thursday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Jets.

James Clemens has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.8 points per game. As for Sparkman, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-11.

Sparkman came up short against James Clemens when the teams last played back in November, falling 70-57. Can Sparkman avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
