Softball Recap: Allentown Central Catholic Victorious

Allentown Central Catholic's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They walked away with a 5-1 win over the William Allen Canaries. The Vikings haven't had any issues with the Canaries recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Hailey Kahr 2026 spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on one hit and racked up 15 Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Allentown Central Catholic let Giada Montone and Gianna Menecola run wild. Montone went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one double, while Menecola went 1-for-3 with one home run. That's the most RBI Montone has posted since back in March.

Allentown Central Catholic's record is now 6-13. As for William Allen, their defeat was their eighth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-16.

Coming up, Allentown Central Catholic will face off against Pocono Mountain East at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. William Allen does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
