Recap: Kent Denver Sun Devils vs. Smoky Hill Buffaloes
If the Kent Denver Sun Devils were feeling good off their 93-26 takedown of the Middle Park Panthers on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Kent Denver suffered a tough 85-62 defeat at the hands of Smoky Hill on Tuesday. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Despite the loss, Kent Denver saw an underclassman step up: Caleb Fay scored 24 points along with 7 rebounds and 3 steals. The match was Fay's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Zach Morgan, who scored 8 points.
Kent Denver's loss dropped their record down to 2-1. As for Smoky Hill, the win got them back to even at 2-2.
Kent Denver will head out on the road to face off against Eaton at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Smoky Hill, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Rangeview at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
