Baseball Recap: Frankfort Continues Home Dominance on Thursday

Frankfort lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Mason County, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Thursday's game. The Panthers blew past the Royals 13-3 on Thursday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Panthers considering their one-run performance the contest before.

The team relied heavily on Jonathan Smith, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. That RBI marked the first that he has brought in this season.

Frankfort's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-6. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Mason County, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season.
