They came out on top in a nail-biter against Mira Mesa and snuck past 51-49. That's another feather in the cap for Maranatha Christian, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Maranatha Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Zeke Walker, who scored 17 points along with seven rebounds. That makes it five consecutive games in which Walker has scored at least 25% of Maranatha Christian's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Shane Piester, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds.
The win got Maranatha Christian back to even at 8-8. As for Mira Mesa, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-6.
