Basketball Recap: Clay Skates Past Northside Christian Academy with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Clay). They took their game on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 36-9 win over Northside Christian Academy. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Blue Devils have posted since January 10, 2024.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Clay to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kathryn Moran, who went 6 for 12 on her way to 13 points and eight steals. Moran is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last six games she's played. Annnaliese Hovda was another key player, putting up ten points.

Clay was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in January of 2024.

Clay's win bumped their record up to 3-7. As for Northside Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.

Clay and Fletcher will face off at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday without much rest having both just played. As for Northside Christian Academy, they will face off against Hope Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Northside Christian Academy is facing Hope Christian Academy at the right time seeing as Hope Christian Academy is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
