Soccer Game Preview: Whiteville vs. South Columbus

Whiteville hasn't had much luck against South Columbus recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Wolfpack will welcome the Stallions at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Whiteville was handed a nine-goal defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Seventy-First 2-1.

Meanwhile, South Columbus kept a clean sheet against Loris last Tuesday. They blew past the Lions 3-0. The result was nothing new for South Columbus, who have now won seven contests by three goals or more so far this season.

Karys Townsend and Brianna Price scored all three of South Columbus' goals, bringing their combined season tally to 35 goals.

South Columbus now has a winning record of 8-7-1. As for Whiteville, their win bumped their record up to 6-8-1.

Whiteville suffered a grim 4-1 defeat to South Columbus in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Can the Wolfpack avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
