Basketball Recap: Beamer Titans vs. Jefferson Raiders
This season hasn't been kind to the Beamer Titans, who are still winless after their 17th matchup. They were just a bucket shy of victory on Friday and fell 25-24 to Jefferson. The match was a 6-6 toss-up at halftime, but Beamer couldn't quite close it out.
When it comes to explaining why Beamer lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jane Wanjiku. Despite the final result, she scored 14 points along with two steals. That was a full 58.3% of Beamer's points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Beamer dropped their record down to 0-17 with that loss, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Jefferson, their win ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-11.
Beamer does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Jefferson also has no future games currently scheduled.
