Baseball Recap: Hampton Takes a Loss

Hampton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Highlands Golden Rams, falling 15-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Golden Rams this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 21-0 on Thursday.

Hampton's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Highlands, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-2.

Coming up, Hampton will head out to take on Ambridge at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Talbots' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bridgers have averaged an impressive 6.8 runs per game this season. As for Highlands, they will take on West Shamokin at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Golden Rams' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wolves have averaged an impressive 7.2 runs per game this season.
