Soccer Recap: Commerce Comes Up Short

Commerce was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 11-1 to the Monroe Area Purple Hurricanes. Commerce were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 3-0.

Commerce's loss dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Monroe Area, with the win, they broke their three-match losing streak and moved their record to 8-8-1.

Commerce does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Monroe Area, they will square off against Winder-Barrow at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Monroe Area will need to watch out since Winder-Barrow have now posted at least four goals in their last three contests.
