The Crystal Springs Uplands Gryphons will square off against the Harker Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Crystal Springs Uplands is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering King's Academy just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a blow against the Knights, falling 79-45. The Gryphons were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 51-25.

Meanwhile, Harker played a tough matchup on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by Menlo School 81-50. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1024th, while the Knights are ranked 314th).

Crystal Springs Uplands will need to focus on slowing down Daniel Zhu, one of several Harker players who made an impact when they last played. He posted seven points. Another player making a difference was Lucas Huang, who had nine points and three steals.

Crystal Springs Uplands' defeat dropped their record down to 10-3. As for Harker, their loss dropped their record down to 5-9.
