Soccer Recap: West Wilkes Takes a Loss + How To Watch

West Wilkes and Polk County squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but West Wilkes had to settle for second. They came up short against the Wolverines, falling 9-0. While losing is never fun, West Wilkes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 333rd, while Polk County are ranked 91st).

West Wilkes now has a losing record of 11-12. As for Polk County, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-0-3 record this season.
