Basketball Recap: Sierra Vista Skates Past Silverado with Ease

Sierra Vista won the last time they faced Silverado and things went their way on Monday too. The Sierra Vista Mountain Lions blew past the Silverado Skyhawks, posting a 55-17 victory. With that win, the Mountain Lions brought their scoring average up to 50.2 points per game.

Donnayja Gibson continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 30 points and ten boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Avery Silvas, who posted six points along with six assists and five rebounds.

Sierra Vista was working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in February of 2024.

The victory made it two in a row for Sierra Vista and bumps their season record up to 13-9. As for Silverado, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-14.

Sierra Vista will challenge Rancho at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Sierra Vista is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.2 points per game this season. As for Silverado, they will host Western at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Western will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something Silverado surely won't give up without a fight.
