Softball Recap: Almont Comes Up Short

Almont suffered their closest loss since April 27, 2024 on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Yale Bulldogs by a score of 4-2. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Raiders of the 5-3 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Almont's loss dropped their record down to 2-5-1. As for Yale, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Almont will take on Bad Axe at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Yale, they will face off against Frankenmuth at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Eagles will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Bulldogs surely won't give up without a fight.
