Baseball Recap: Lely Takes a Loss

Lely was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They lost 10-1 to the Southwest Florida Christian King. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Trojans of the 7-4 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2023.

Lely saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aiden Karl, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Lely's defeat dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Southwest Florida Christian, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-7.

Lely has already played their next match, a 9-8 loss against Gateway Charter on the 4th. As for Southwest Florida Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 3-2 defeat against Out-of-Door Academy on the 4th.
