Basketball Recap: Three Straight Home Wins for Meeker

Meeker had won two straight home games and Addie Knowles did her part to make it three on Friday. The Meeker Cowboys came out on top against the North Fork Miners by a score of 51-43 thanks in part to Knowles, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 21 boards. She continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played.

Rylee Sullivan was another key player, putting up nine points in addition to five rebounds and four steals. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played.

Meeker's victory bumped their record up to 8-6. As for North Fork, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season.

Meeker wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 37-35 defeat against Grand Valley on the 1st. As for North Fork, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 73-46 loss against Roaring Fork on the 1st.
