Baseball Recap: Springfield Southeast Comes Up Short

Springfield Southeast lost against Jacksonville on Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Spartans came up short against the Crimsons, falling 12-1. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Springfield Southeast saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was B Twist, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Springfield Southeast's defeat dropped their record down to 10-18. As for Jacksonville, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-14 record this season.

Coincidentally, Springfield Southeast and Jacksonville will both be playing New Berlin/Franklin/Waverly the next time they take the field. The Spartans will head out to face the Vipers at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Crimsons will host them at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
