Baseball Recap: Jesuit Wins Going Away Against Folsom

Jesuit not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since May 7, 2024. They blew past the Folsom Bulldogs 10-1. The Marauders have beaten the Bulldogs the last five times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Bulldogs has come to flipping the script.

Eric Erdmann was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out ten over six innings pitched. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-4.

In other batting news, Cade Colombara was a standout: he scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. That stolen base marked the first that he snagged this season. Another player making a difference was Jordan Walczykowski, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Jesuit kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 5.4 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 games they've averaged 10.4.

Jesuit's record is now 9-1. As for Folsom, they dropped their record down to 2-9 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Jesuit will take on Christian Brothers at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Folsom, they will square off against McClatchy at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
