Recap: Harvest Prep Academy Eagle vs. Ajo Red Raiders
The Harvest Prep Academy Eagle's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They suffered a tough 52-30 defeat at the hands of Ajo. While losing is never fun, Harvest Prep Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 283rd, while Ajo is ranked 140th).
Despite the defeat, Harvest Prep Academy saw an underclassman step up: KJ Legette dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds. Legette is crushing the rebound category: he's posted at least nine every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jonathon Armas, who scored five points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Harvest Prep Academy has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season. As for Ajo, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-5.
Harvest Prep Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Ajo's road trip will continue as they head out to face BASIS - Mesa at 6:30 p.m. on February 13th.
