Soccer Recap: Lathrop Comes Up Short

If Lathrop was feeling good fresh off their 8-1 takedown of Hutchison on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Malemutes took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the West Valley Wolf Pack on Tuesday. Lathrop haven't had much luck with West Valley recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Lathrop's goal came courtesy of Jake Tansy, who's now up to two this season.

Lathrop's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for West Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4-1 record this season.

Coincidentally, Lathrop and West Valley will both be playing North Pole the next time they take the pitch. The Wolf Pack will host the Patriots at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, while the Malemutes will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
