Basketball Recap: Augusta Takes a Loss

Augusta was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 77-76 heartbreaker at the hands of the Whitehall Norse. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Norse this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 56-49 back in January.

Augusta's defeat dropped their record down to 5-17. As for Whitehall, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 17-6.

Looking ahead, Augusta will square off against Pepin/Alma at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Pepin/Alma has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Whitehall, they will face off against Independence/Gilmanton at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
