Basketball Recap: Oak Forest Takes a Loss

Oak Forest lost against Thornton Fractional South back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Oak Forest Bengals lost 58-33 to the Thornton Fractional South Red Wolves. The Bengals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Oak Forest's defeat dropped their record down to 14-14. As for Thornton Fractional South, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 19-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Oak Forest will face off against Lemont at 6:30 p.m. on February 4th. As for Thornton Fractional South, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Evergreen Park at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Evergreen Park is on a four-game streak of home wins, Thornton Fractional South a six-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
