Clinton has gone a perfect 4-0 against Chester recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. Clinton will venture away from home to take on Chester at 5:30 p.m. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Clinton has struggled recently with three losses in a row, while Chester will arrive with four straight victories.

Things were looking good for Clinton after they put the first points on the board on Friday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell just short of Mid-Carolina by a score of 2-1.

Clinton's goal came courtesy of Zia Patel, who's now up to two this season.

While Chester didn't have the best season last year (they finished 1-15), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. Their defense stepped up to hand Fairfield Central a 10-0 shutout on Friday. Chester's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last three games.

Chester used a slightly different lineup for their bout with Fairfield Central. Azalea Hinton played for 20 minutes having averaged 10 this season. She made the most of the opportunity, scoring two goals A few more games like that and she might be seeing even more time going forward.

Clinton's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5-1. As for Chester, their win bumped their record up to 6-1.

Clinton skirted past Chester 4-3 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Clinton since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
