Football Recap: Algona Takes a Loss

After flying high against Waverly-Shell Rock last Friday, Algona came back down to earth. The Bulldogs and the MOC-Floyd Valley Dutchmen were almost perfectly matched up on Friday, but the Bulldogs suffered a 14-13 defeat. The contest marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Algona's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for MOC-Floyd Valley, they pushed their record up to 4-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Algona will challenge rival Humboldt at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, MOC-Floyd Valley is set to square off against their familiar foe Bishop Heelan Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
