Preview: Cedar Ridge Raiders vs. Round Rock Dragons
The Cedar Ridge Raiders will head out on the road to take on the Round Rock Dragons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Cedar Ridge focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Tuesday.
Last Tuesday, Cedar Ridge was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 47-46 to Vandegrift.
The losing side was boosted by Peyton Dulin, who scored 15 points along with six steals and five rebounds. He hasn't dropped below three steals for three straight games. Michael Collins-long was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Round Rock can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They snuck past McNeil with a 50-46 victory. Given Round Rock's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 110th, while McNeil is ranked 402nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Cedar Ridge has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 15-15 record this season. As for Round Rock, their victory bumped their record up to 18-12.
Cedar Ridge came up short against Round Rock in their previous meeting back in January, falling 51-40. Can Cedar Ridge avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
