Softball Game Preview: Centerville Bulldogs vs. Knightstown Panthers

The Centerville Bulldogs are taking a road trip to challenge the Knightstown Panthers at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

On Monday, Centerville didn't have quite enough to beat Wes-Del and fell 12-11.

Hannah Beaman made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two doubles. Lilly Day was another key player, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.

Knightstown let Winchester Community stack four runs on them in the third inning on Monday but luckily Knightstown prevailed anyway. The Panthers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-5 victory over the Golden Falcons. The win continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Golden Falcons: they've now won five in a row.

Centerville's loss dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Knightstown, they now have a winning record of 10-9.

Centerville couldn't quite get it done against Knightstown in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 as they fell 5-0. Can the Bulldogs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
