Basketball Game Preview: Tatum Eagles vs. Ponder Lions

The Tatum Eagles will take on the Ponder Lions on Monday. One thing working in Tatum's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 21 contests.

Tatum is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They beat Liberty-Eylau by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 69-53. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Leopards recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Ponder faced off against Commerce on Friday. Ponder took down Commerce 52-36. The victory was familiar territory for the Lions, who have now won five games in a row.

Tatum's record now sits at 29-2. As for Ponder, their record now sits at 23-11.

Things could have been worse for Tatum, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 60-45 loss to Ponder in their previous matchup back in December of 2023. Can Tatum avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
