Birmingham won the last time they faced Canyon and things went their way on Saturday too. The Patriots narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Cowboys 9-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Patriots have posted since March 1, 2025.

The team relied heavily on Jazmine Olmos, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run. The team also got some help courtesy of Meea De La Cueva, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

The victory got Birmingham back to even at 1-1. As for Canyon, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Birmingham wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 4-2 win against Kennedy on the 7th. As for Canyon, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 11-2 defeat against Oxnard on the 28th.
