Basketball Recap: KACHEA Starts Season with Victory on the Road

KACHEA had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They blew past Berean Christian, posting a 78-44 victory.

Andrew Joyner was nothing short of spectacular: he went 10-for-11 en route to 25 points and four blocks. He is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last 11 games he's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Campbell Bridges, who shot 63% from the field to rack up 12 points.

KACHEA was working as a unit and finished the game with 24 assists. They racked up ten more assists than Berean Christian's also-impressive total of 14.

Berean Christian lost on Tuesday despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Dylan Duncan, who went 6-for-13 on his way to 13 points. Lincoln Wilkerson was another key player, putting up ten points and five boards.

Berean Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

KACHEA has already played their next matchup, a 54-53 loss against Chuckey-Doak on the 20th. As for Berean Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 71-42 win against Grace Baptist Academy on the 21st.
