Softball Recap: Catonsville Comes Up Short

After flying high against Towson last Thursday, Catonsville came back down to earth. The Comets fell just short of the Sparrows Point Pointers by a score of 16-14 on Tuesday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Thursday (12), the Comets still had to take the loss.

Catonsville's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Sparrows Point, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Catonsville will challenge Perry Hall at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Gators have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.33 runs per game on average), something the Comets will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Sparrows Point, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Eastern Tech at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
