Volleyball Recap: Van Buren Pointers vs. Marion Patriots

Van Buren and Marion squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Van Buren had to settle for second. They lost 3-0 to the Patriots. The shutout was out of character for the Pointers seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in September.

Aubrie McGhee paced Van Buren's offense, picking up eight kills. McGhee got some help from Caitie Dunbar and her 12 assists. Carley Freeman controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Marion's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from ABBIGALE SIMMONS, who had nine digs and two aces.
