Softball Recap: Tualatin Wins Going Away Against Ida B. Wells

Tualatin barely beat Ida B. Wells the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Tualatin blew past Ida B. Wells 18-0 on Thursday. The Timberwolves have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Guardians, too.

Hudson Douglass looked comfortable as she struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk).

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Madisen Garrett, who scored three runs while going 2-for-4.

Tualatin was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .394. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Ida B. Wells only posted a batting average of .071.

Tualatin has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 13.5 runs this season. As for Ida B. Wells, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Coming up, Tualatin will venture away from home to face off against Wilsonville at 2:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Ida B. Wells, they will square off against Westview at 12:00 p.m. on Monday.
