Baseball Recap: China Spring Takes a Loss

It was fun while it lasted, but China Spring's undefeated season came to an end after three games on Friday. They fell just short of the Lake Belton Broncos by a score of 6-4. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cougars of the 4-3 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2022.

China Spring saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jaxon Knapp, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. Dillon Bowers was another, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

Having lost for the first time this season, China Spring fell to 3-1. As for Lake Belton, their victory bumped their record up to 3-0-1.

Coming up, China Spring will face off against Vista Ridge at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Lake Belton, they will take on Stony Point in a tournament on Friday. The last six games Lake Belton has played (dating back to last season) have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
