Baseball Game Preview: Canal Winchester Indians vs. Bishop Hartley Hawks

The Canal Winchester Indians will square off against the Bishop Hartley Hawks at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Canal Winchester made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Bloom-Carroll, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Indians fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 2-0 on Thursday. The matchup marked the first time this season in which the Indians were not able to get on the board.

Meanwhile, Bishop Hartley unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of Big Walnut by a score of 3-2.

Carson Moore made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one double and one RBI.

Canal Winchester's loss dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Bishop Hartley, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-10.

Canal Winchester was able to grind out a solid victory over Bishop Hartley when the teams last played back in March of 2023, winning 7-2. Do the Indians have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Hawks turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
