Football Recap: West Las Vegas Dons vs. Dexter Demons
West Las Vegas lost against Dexter back in August of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The West Las Vegas Dons took a 22-13 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dexter Demons.
Cj Perea and Andres Sena certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Perea threw for 160 yards and a touchdown, while Sena picked up 27 receiving yards.
A big part of the victory came down to the chemistry between Cj Granados and his top target Kaesn George. Granados rushed for 37 yards and a touchdown while George gained 111 total yards and a touchdown.
West Las Vegas' defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Dexter, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Las Vegas will take on Ruidoso at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Ruidoso focused on turnovers this week as team gave up four on Friday. As for Dexter, they will venture away from home to square off against Grants at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
